The mares and foals in this series are a special breed....

. The famous white horses of the Camargue live in the South of France, a region filled with shallow lakes, rivers and marshes and bordered by the Mediterranean Sea. The hardy horses, black bulls, and many species of waterfowl are native to the region.

In May 2016 I took a photography workshop with Create Away. My goal was to get reference material for paintings - of course! It was a wonderful experience.

This portion of my website will showcase the "Beautiful Horses of the Carmargue" paintings. Enjoy!
