Ace of Spades and Cute as a Button - horse painting by Karen Brenner

Ace of Spades and Cute as a Button, 24x18",

Ponies are the Best!

Ace of Spades and Cute as a Button are two beautiful ponies. They were so sweet (and so soft and fluffy). As best friends, they are both over 30 years old and have been best friends for a dozen years.

With their owner, Amanda, the ponies have taught over 2,000 students to ride. They have visited schools, helped with therapeutic riding and had fun amusing everyone by sporting crazy costumes.

Now Ace has a special job teaching Amanda's daughter Ashland to ride.

Was your first horse a pony?

My first pony

Our first pony, Buttermilk, with her colt, Beauty

My twin sister, Sharon, and I were lucky! We got our first pony, Buttermilk, when we were in the first grade. We spent hours riding around the neighborhood and through my grandparent's farm - just up the road.

What a fun childhood!

In the photo above we are riding Buttermilk and her colt Beauty along with our little sister Nancy.

Was your first horse a pony? What are your happiest pony memories?
